On Tuesday April 21st evangelists and their wives joined together for a wonderful meal at Longhorn Steakhouse. A good time was had by all! There will be changes coming for our Alabama evangelists fellowship as soon as the new District Superintendent officially takes office. We will be meeting together and discussing strategies on how evangelists can partner with local churches to help both reap as well as keep the harvest that is coming in. We will keep you updated as these developments take place. And if you have any suggestions you would like to pass along to us, feel free to send an email to david@revivalnow.org. You can also contact me by phone at 706-773-1546.

I encourage our pastors to visit the websites of our evangelists and cosider having them for a special service! If we can every serve you in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Hello Alabama Evangelists!

Sorry for the silence; it’s been extremely busy here as I know is has been with you all!

By now you have heard that Bro. & Sis. Glover will be retiring at this District Council and they are honoring them with a special reception on Tuesday night April 21st at the evening service. If you have not received any information about it, please contact the District Office immediately. I would also encourage you to send a letter of appreciation to Bro. & Sis. Glover for their years of faithful service to the Alabama family. No other man has fought for and promoted the office and calling of the evangelist like Bill Glover has in his years in the District office. I count it an honor to have been able to have served with him.

Also, on Tuesday April 21st at 12noon we will have our annual Evangelists and Wives Luncheon at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Dothan. This will be my treat to you as a way of thanking you for serving the Lord in this unique calling of the evangelist! But you _*MUST*_ RSVP me by  _*replying to this email*_ or call me at *706-773-1546*. This will help us keep the  restaurant  apprised of the number of people who will be attending.

I want to thank you for allowing me to serve with you during these last few years. Many changes are coming in the role evangelists will have in our Fellowship in the days to come. Due to the financial situation across the Fellowship, even the National Evangelists Office is also having to scale back it’s influence in Springfield. But no matter what happens, we know God has called us to serve the Body of Christ in this capacity! Now more than ever, we must be faithful to our Lord and to His calling on our lives! Knowing He who called us will be faithful to bring increase into our lives and ministries until that day we stand before Him! May we all hear Him say, “well done good and faithful servant!”

Please RSVP me today by email or by phone and reserve your place for our Evangelists and Wives Luncheon.

Blessings,
David Copeland

Alabama Revival Update

September 22nd, 2008

Pastor Doug Bartlett from Evangel Temple in Theodore reports a recent move of the Holy Spirit with Evangelist Levernon Davis lasted three weeks. Many testified of being saved for the first time; others were filled with the Holy Spirit and many others testified of receiving healings. Several churches from the area also participated and saw some of their young people touched by God in a tremendous way! Bro. Bartlett told me this revival has had a great overall effect on the church and it still continues…

Pastor Terry Linholm from First Assembly Columbiana had a service scheduled for a Sunday with Levernon Davis that lasted eight days. Bro. Davis preached with a strong prophetic anointing on preparation and the Second Coming of Jesus which resulted in at least 14 people being Baptized in the Holy Spirit and many people rededicating their lives to the Lord! He told me the Wednesday night following the end of the services people came early for the service and instead of standing around talking as they normally do, many were in the altars seeking God for souls! One 17year old boy went home and destroyed his violent video games as a result of the touch from God he received from the revival!

We are happy to report Bro. Levernon Davis is back on the field ministering revival in our churches. He served as an evangelist for 18years before planting a church in Ragland, Alabama. His contact information is:

Preparations are underway all across Alabama for our Annual Community Appreciation Weekend October 31-November 2, 2009. Churches are sponsoring Halloween alternatives, Hell Houses, 100 Man Challenge and/or Weekend Revivals. Last year, just according to the reports that were sent to our office, over 300,000 people received some kind of witness from an Alabama Assemblies of God Church! As I have said repeatedly, it is God’s will Alabama leads the nation in outreach and revival, not just alphabetically!

There is an evangelist from Alabama that stands ready to partner with you in reaching your city and community for Jesus! For more information on our Alabama Assemblies of God Evangelists, go to our website www.alabamaevangelists.org.

If we can serve any of our churches in any way, please call us at 706-773-1546.

Revival Report

July 28th, 2008

We received this email today from Pastor Lomax Lundsford at Monroeville First Assembly:

Bro. David:

Wanted to let you know we have been having revival at Monroeville First this past week. We have had six people saved, and two who rededicated after being backslidden. We had Missionary Albert Skinner from July 20 -24 for six  services. And we had a lady saved in yesterday morning’s service. This lady had been deathly sick during the past year, was in a coma for three weeks, and in the hospital for four months. Her family had already begun making funeral preparations. But the Lord raised her up. When she got able she started coming to church, about two months ago. And  she got saved yesterday. PTL!  I baptized three in water last night. It’s beginning to happen as you said when you were here last year. A “river” has begun to flow. My prayer:  “May it never cease to flow until our Lord returns.”

Blessings on you and yours,
LLunsford

May the Lord bring revival to every church in the state of Alabama! I say it again: It is God’s will that Alabama lead the nation spiritually in revival as well as alphabetically!

If you have a report on revival or an evangelism outreach that has worked for your local church and would like to share it with others, email it to me at david@revivalnow.org.

Let the River flow!

ALABAMA COMMISSION ON EVANGELISM July-Aug2008
Our prayers and love go out to fellow Evangelist Mason Corwin whose wife Leigh entered the Presence of Jesus in May. Please continue to hold Mason and his daughter up to the Lord for strength and encouragement for the days ahead.

Most everywhere I travel across Alabama there is a fresh wind of revival blowing in our Fellowship! New people are being saved, backsliders are coming back to Jesus; people are being baptized in the Holy Spirit are healings are taking place!

I said most everywhere because there are still areas that God needs to touch in a dramatic way!

In last months Messenger I wrote a piece Jonathan Edwards wrote many years ago on how we can know we are having a real revival experience. The Assemblies of God was birthed in revival fire! Many within some Full Gospel circles have stated that’s just not the way God is moving, or will move today. If that is so, then you must remove Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17, 18 from the Bible!

I believe God is calling the Assemblies of God, especially the Alabama District Council of the Assemblies of God to not only lead the nation in Alphabetical order; but in the spiritual order of repentance, prayer, seeking God’s face; turning from our own ways to allow His ways and His Kingdom to come; and to see His will to be done on earth like it is in heaven!

In 1904, all Wales was aflame with revival. The nation had drifted far from God. Spiritual conditions were at their lowest. Church attendance was poor and practices of immorality and sinful indulgence abounded on every hand. Suddenly through the power of prayer, like and unexpected tornado, the power of God moved in and swept over the land. Churches were crowded with three services every day lasting from 10am till midnight. Evan Roberts was the human instrument God used to turn the tide of revival.

May we yield ourselves to God in such a was that Alabama will no longer be known for our college football teams; but that we will be known by the Flame of the Holy Spirit and Evangelism that’s burns to the nations of the world!

Special thanks to Marshal Windsor, our National Evangelist Representative who visited with us at the District Council; and thanks to all the evangelists and their wives who participated in our annual District Council Luncheon.

We have an army of men and women standing by to partner with you in an outreach, evangelistic crusade, or special Sunday Holy Ghost services. You can visit our website at www.alabamaevangelists.org, or visit the www.alabamaag.org and click the evangelism link on the left tool bar. We stand ready to partner with you to both reap and keep the harvest!

If we can ever assist you in any way, please don’t hesitate to call on us at 706-773-1546 or email me at david@revivalnow.org.

Revival. Evangelism. Outreach.

Very caustic words to some.

It’s a source or irritation to others.
But to those of us who are hungry and desperate to for a closer walk with God and a passion to win the lost, it’s the central focus of our eating, our drinking, our praying, our preaching and teaching…it’s all we think about 24/7! At least, it’s all I think about 24 hours a day, seven days a week!

I found these notes Jonathan Edwards wrote many years ago that need to be a guide for us as we continue to seek for God to pour out His Spirit and then experience a true revival experience.

How Can I Know If I Am Having A Real Revival Experience?
1. A real revival experience will raise the esteem of Jesus. People talk about “building the Kingdom” and say “it’s all about Jesus”; when in reality it’s all about their kingdom or their own circle of influence.
When the Holy Ghost really begins to move they way we want Him to move and we need Him to move, He will not glorify a man or a building or a denomination: the Holy Ghost ALWAYS brings the focus and the attention and the recognition to rest on Jesus!

2. Real revival will impel people away from sin and lust. Real revival brings real change! Real revival brings all glory and honor to Jesus and will cause people to be sickened over the sad state of our culture, our nation and our world! When you can go to church, speak in tongues, fall out in the Spirit and then go home and cuss your wife out, abuse your children, use God’s name in vain and not be grieved…you’ve not experienced real revival!

3. Real Revival will lead people back to the teachings of the Bible. I am an avid reader. I am grateful to live in a time in which there are so many great writers to glean from. One major accusation against the Pentecostal movement has been we have allowed our experience to dictate our doctrine. But real revival moves us back to the greatest book every written! The Word of God!
I remember reading about Lester Sumerall going to see Smith Wigglesworth one time with a newspaper under his arm. As Sumerall knocked on the door, Smith opened it up and said, “…you can leave your newspaper outside and come in!”

4. People are lead to truth instead of error. I realize, I am only seeing one part, therefore I can only prophecy one part! Yet real revival not only leads me back to truth, it will give me a hunger for the truth, to know it and be set free!
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
5. Real revival will promote love among people. Prejudice will cease. Fighting will stop. Politicians will work for the people and not their own agendas! Preachers will love people and not jockey for a greater position within their fellowship. Preachers will stop being charlatans, and will preach the Good News for the Love of God and not the love of money!

Father I pray for such a mighty move of your Spirit to come to Alabama so all will know that Jesus is in our house!!!! Revival is coming in a greater way to Alabama! Get ready!

We were honored to have Marshall Windsor the National Evangelist Representative from Springfield at out District Council. I am also excited that God is still calling men and women to do the work of an evangelist!

Mason and Leigh Corwin

May 14th, 2008

We are saddened to learn of the passing the Leigh Corwin, wife of Evangelist Mason Corwin who also serves as the director of the ChiAlpha Fellowship at South Alabama. We love you Mason and we are praying for you during this season.

Dear Fellow Evangelists!

Hope this email finds all of you fulfilling the Kingdom mandate fro this hour!

I apologize for not sending out an “official letter”, but we have been in an extended revival outside Opelika/Auburn for the last 4 weeks then in another extended meeting in Indiana with many backsliders coming back to the Lord! We as well as you have been super busy, so email is the best way to communicate.

This is to let you know we are having our Evangelists Luncheon on the Tuesday of the District Council. The venue will be Longhorn Steakhouse at Exit 238/I-65 in Alabaster. As always, lunch in on me, and we will have as our special guest, Marshall Windsor, the National Evangelists Rep. from Springfield. He will be discussing some of the initiatives the National Office is doing to promote the office of the evangelist.

Pam and I look forward to seeing you all at District Council. Please RSVP me for the lunch by email by replying to me by email to david@revivalnow.org.

Pastor David Moore of Magnolia Assembly if Grove Hill, Alabama reports to us a Spirit of Revival has hit that area of West Alabama.

Almost 30 people have been saved in the last several weeks; even during the Christmas Holidays people were being saved and scores have been filled with the Holy Spirit!

Pam and I have just returned from a week of revival services there and I can tell you revival fire has hit! Many were saved (including several small children) and many were filled with the Spirit during our time there.

One young man testified of a healing from acid reflux, and has not had to take medicine for several days; another young lady who walked in service Wednesday night on crutches, left without the crutches, overwhelmed by the healing power of God!

This outpouring is a result of much fasting and praying and an expectation for God to move!

If you have a report of any revival meetings or results from a special outreach you would like included on Alabamaevangelists.org, simply email me at david@revivalnow.org.
